Our Story

The Greater San Marcos Youth Council was established in 1986 by a group of concerned citizens dedicated to providing shelter for maltreated children and support services for families. This private, non-profit organization creates a nurturing environment for children who have experienced abuse and neglect, helping them build trusting relationships with adults.

Impact

GSMYC operates a residential Children’s Shelter for children aged 2-17, offering a safe and structured environment for those who have faced trauma. The organization also provides youth and family services aimed at reducing child maltreatment and enhancing family resilience.
