Our Story
Founded in 1970, the Greater Lafayette Community Foundation began with a modest $65,000 in assets, thanks to a group of dedicated citizens. Initially overseen by the United Way, the foundation has evolved significantly over the decades. By 1983, assets grew to $1 million, and today, they exceed $80 million. This growth is a testament to the generosity of the Greater Lafayette community, which has embraced the mission of inspiring philanthropy for local good. Last year alone, nearly $2 million in grants were distributed, showcasing the foundation's commitment to making a lasting impact.
