Our Story

Connective is a Houston-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming social services into a more connected, empathetic, and accessible system. In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the challenges of recovery assistance became evident, leading to lost applications and unclear eligibility requirements. To tackle these issues, Connective launched an innovative online portal that streamlined assistance applications and connected residents with vetted home repair services, facilitating over 1,000 home repairs.

Our Impact

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Connective played a pivotal role in distributing over $550 million in rental and financial assistance, connecting more than 190,000 individuals to vital resources. Additionally, the organization invested $7.1 million in homes affected by the 2021 winter storm, showcasing its commitment to community resilience.
