Our Story

The Greater Derry Humane Society is a dedicated animal rescue organization serving the Southern New Hampshire community. With a team of passionate volunteers, GDHS transports dogs from southern states and provides essential support to local families in need. Every day, the organization answers calls, emails, and messages from individuals seeking assistance with pet re-homing or stray animals. Operating without paid staff, GDHS relies entirely on the generosity of its supporters to continue its mission.

Our Impact

This year, GDHS has returned over 800 phone messages and answered more than a thousand emails, helping countless local families with pet re-homing and stray assistance. The commitment to animal welfare is evident in every interaction.
