Our Story
In 2011, a dedicated group of physicians collaborated with a national organization to host Chattanooga’s inaugural 5K fundraiser, aimed at raising awareness about colorectal cancer. This initiative led to the formation of the Greater Chattanooga Colon Cancer Foundation, ensuring that all proceeds remain local. Tennessee ranks among the lowest in the U.S. for colorectal screenings and among the highest for deaths related to this disease. The GCCCF is committed to providing community education and medical benefits regarding colon and rectal cancer, striving for every eligible individual to be screened at the earliest appropriate time.
