About Great Promise Partnership

Great Promise Partnership (GPP) is a vital initiative under the Georgia Department of Education's Work-Based Learning program. Established in 2012, GPP forges public-private partnerships across Georgia, empowering at-risk students to complete their high school education while acquiring essential job skills and experience.

Impact of GPP

In the 2019-2020 period alone, GPP successfully placed over 300 at-risk students in more than 20 counties statewide. Since its inception, nearly 1,500 students have benefited from this program, contributing to a remarkable savings of over $200 million for the state of Georgia by significantly reducing dropout rates.
