The Great Lakes Community Conservation Corps was founded by a group of 25 Civilian Conservation Corps alumni in 2008. This initiative aims to tackle social and environmental challenges in southeastern Wisconsin, particularly in the Greater Milwaukee area.
By providing job training and support to disadvantaged populations, including veterans and youth, the Great Lakes CCC enhances local environmental conditions through dedicated conservation efforts.
