Great Lakes Bay Regional Trail
EIN: 38-3583137 · Freeland, MI
Our Story
In 2008, the Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance was established to foster a sustainable future through innovation and collaboration. A key initiative is the development of a non-motorized trail system that connects Bay, Midland, and Saginaw counties. The Great Lakes Bay Regional Trail Committee oversees this project, aiming to create a nearly 100-mile trail for walkers, runners, cyclists, and skaters, linking parks and green spaces with stunning views of Lake Huron's Saginaw Bay.
Impact
This trail system enhances the quality of life in the region by promoting outdoor activities and connecting communities, ultimately contributing to the health and well-being of residents and visitors.
