Grateful Gatherings began in 2013 when a compassionate act sparked a movement. After witnessing a young girl named Ayisha share her story of homelessness on local news, Donna and her family stepped in to help. They provided Christmas dinner and gifts, and soon after, they assisted Ayisha’s family in furnishing their new apartment. This act of kindness ignited a community of volunteers, donors, and corporate partners dedicated to helping families transition out of homelessness.

Making a Lasting Impact

Since its inception, Grateful Gatherings has positively impacted over 700 individuals, mobilizing more than 3,500 volunteers to provide essential household items and furniture to families in crisis across the Bay Area.
