Our Story
Grassroots Power Project (GPP) has been a vital force in supporting social justice infrastructure for over 20 years. Founded in 1993, GPP emerged from a collective of organizers dedicated to bridging the gap between progressive think tanks and grassroots leaders. By fostering deep relationships with statewide, regional, and national organizing groups, GPP has evolved into a unique intermediary, walking alongside organizers to enhance their models and strategies.
Impact
GPP collaborates with organizations, alliances, and labor to cultivate new organizing practices aimed at achieving transformational social change. Through decades of partnership, GPP has developed strategic frameworks that empower organizations to shift from short-term campaigns to building governing power for economic, racial, gender, and environmental justice.
