Founded in 2009 by Dr. Tyler Spencer, Grassroots Health emerged in response to the severe HIV and AIDS epidemic in Washington, DC. The organization reimagines health education by mobilizing NCAA athletes as role models and educators in middle schools, focusing on HIV prevention, mental health, and nutritional health.

Impact

Grassroots Health has made a significant impact by delivering interventions in 65 schools and community centers, engaging nearly 1,500 student-athletes as sexual health educators.
