Our Story

Grangou began its journey in 2007 during a trip to Haiti, where the founders witnessed the plight of abandoned children in Port au Prince. This experience ignited a passion to help at-risk youth, leading to the establishment of Grangou in July 2008. The organization was born from a commitment to provide support and care for children in need, especially after the devastating earthquake in January 2010. This tragedy opened doors for funding, enabling the creation of Travay Bondye, a safe haven for vulnerable children.

Impact on Lives

Grangou is dedicated to funding Travay Bondye, which serves as a refuge for abandoned and at-risk children. Each child receives three nutritious meals daily, clean water, medical care, and education. Travay Bondye is not just a shelter; it is a nurturing environment where children can heal from their past traumas and rediscover the joys of childhood. The home is staffed by over 20 dedicated Haitians, ensuring that the care provided is culturally relevant and empowering.
