Our Story
Founded in 1975 by Mary Jean Brick, BrickWays emerged from a deep personal commitment to support individuals with disabilities into adulthood. Inspired by her own family’s experiences, Mary Jean pioneered the first Community Living Center in 1978, providing a supportive environment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Driven by an unwavering determination, she advocated for legislative changes and secured support from corporations and foundations. In 2011, the organization officially adopted the name BrickWays as a tribute to Mary Jean’s enduring legacy.
Our Impact
BrickWays assists individuals with physical and developmental disabilities by offering housing alternatives with optional customized contract support services.
