The Kent ISD Oral Deaf program, established in 1899, is dedicated to helping children who are deaf or hard of hearing develop spoken language and literacy through listening. Serving students from birth to 25 within Kent County, the program provides essential services including early intervention, classroom education, and family support.
This program has successfully supported 24 students in the center program and over 100 students through Teacher Consultants, helping them achieve academic and social success.
Donations support essential services and programs for deaf and hard of hearing students, including specialized training for staff and family events that foster community and support.
