Our Story

Grand Prairie Friends is a dedicated conservation land trust established in 1984, focused on preserving and restoring natural communities in east-central Illinois. With a passionate team of volunteers, members, and a committed Board of Directors, GPF has successfully protected over 1,060 acres of vital natural habitats, including the Shortline Railroad Prairie.
