Our Story
In the fall of 1978, a young man arrived at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) from Greenville, South Carolina, with dreams of playing baseball. His journey took an unexpected turn due to a baseball injury, leading him to discover a new path through faith and mentorship. With the support of the Assistant Dean of Students, he not only graduated with an accounting degree but also transformed his life through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This pivotal experience inspired him to give back to the community that shaped him.
In January 2018, this vision materialized when he purchased the old Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house on Maple Street, establishing the Grand Lodge Fellowship as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The mission is clear: to reach out to ETSU students, guiding them to make positive choices, deepen their faith, and enhance their chances of success after college.
