Our Story
Grace House Akron, Inc. was founded in 2017 by Holly Klein, Cindy Browning, and Nicholas Browning, driven by the belief that every individual deserves a dignified end-of-life experience. After witnessing the struggles of terminally ill patients lacking adequate care, the founders established a unique service model to support those in need. In 2019, a generous land donation from Summa Health allowed for the construction of a comfort care home in Akron’s North Hill neighborhood, which was completed in August 2022. Today, Grace House is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for terminally ill individuals who would otherwise face their final days alone or in inadequate conditions.
Our Impact
Grace House serves terminally ill individuals enrolled in hospice programs, offering free-of-charge services to those without able caregivers or financial resources. This ensures that every resident can pass peacefully, surrounded by compassion and care.
