Our Story

In the spring of 2009, Matthew and Sarah Fitzsimons, along with a dedicated group of community members, initiated a feasibility study to establish an all-girls school in Hartford. This vision came to fruition in 2010 with the founding of Grace Academy, supported by four congregations of women religious and South Congregational Church. The school aims to provide a nurturing educational environment for girls, fostering their academic and personal growth.

Impact

Grace Academy offers a holistic educational program, including small classes, extended-day options, summer school, and graduate support. This comprehensive approach has led to remarkable outcomes, with the first alumni cohort graduating from college in 2020.
