Got Green
EIN: 91-1656676 · Seattle, WA
Our Story
Got Green emerged from the legacy of labor organizers, racial justice advocates, and environmental leaders. Founded in 2008 by Michael Woo and Kristyn Joy, the organization began by providing home weatherization job training to workers of color in South Seattle. Over the years, Got Green has evolved to center low-income families and communities of color in the fight for climate justice, food access, and economic opportunities.
Impact
Through successful advocacy for initiatives like the Fresh Bucks program and the Green Pathways resolution, Got Green has increased community engagement and empowerment in addressing food insecurity, climate justice, and economic equity.
