Founded in the 1970s by Ann Van Der Maten, Gooseberry Park Players was established to create more theatre opportunities for youth. Since gaining 501(c)(3) status in 1982, the organization has evolved, moving venues and expanding its reach to serve students from over 20 public and private schools in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo community and beyond.
For over 40 years, Gooseberry Park Players has positively impacted the lives of students by providing high-quality, educational theatre experiences, allowing youth from various economic backgrounds to participate without financial barriers.
