Founded in 1975, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia continues the vision of Dr. Edgar J. Helms, who established Goodwill in 1902. This organization is dedicated to enhancing the dignity and quality of life for individuals and families by providing education, skills training, and employment opportunities. By collecting used goods and reinvesting proceeds into job training programs, Goodwill embodies the philosophy of a hand up, not a hand out.

Impact

In the past five years, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia has served over 81,005 people and successfully placed 30,811 individuals into competitive employment, generating an impressive economic impact of $888.9 million across 35 counties.
