Our Story

In 1999, while pastoring a church in Haltom City, Texas, Bill and Rachelle Fletcher recognized the urgent needs of the working poor. They organized an outreach event that drew over 8,000 attendees, distributing free food and toys to those in need. This initial effort blossomed into annual outreach events and a weekly food distribution, ultimately leading to the establishment of a dedicated food bank in Haltom City. In 2002, the Goodness Project was launched, focusing on providing essential resources to families facing crises and disasters. By collaborating with other nonprofit organizations, the project maximizes its impact, believing that collective efforts yield greater results in transforming lives.

Impact

Since its inception, The Goodness Project has delivered an astounding $51 million in food and resources, serving over 252,000 families since 2017 and providing critical aid during disaster relief events.
