Our Story

Over 20 years ago, Dr. Thomas Kelley and Rev. Jimmy Lewis united with a vision: to ensure that all Clayton County residents have access to quality medical care, regardless of their financial situation. On September 16, 2000, the first patient received care at Good Shepherd Clinic, marking the beginning of a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to serving the community. In its inaugural year, the clinic welcomed 463 patients, supported by 102 volunteers who contributed over 1,239 hours of service.

Our Impact

At Good Shepherd Clinic, the mission is clear: provide free healthcare to those who need it most. The clinic offers uninsured residents of Clayton County access to primary healthcare, prescription assistance, laboratory services, specialty clinics, and health education, bridging the healthcare gap for the underserved.
