Good Samaritan Shelter
EIN: 77-0133375 · Santa Maria, CA
Our Story
Good Samaritan Shelter began as a temporary evening shelter in local churches, evolving into a vital resource for the homeless community since its establishment in 1987. Initially guided by the North County Project Group, the shelter opened its doors at 406 S. Pine Street, offering 28 beds to those in need. In 2006, the need for a detox facility in Lompoc sparked the creation of a task force, leading to the renovation of a building to meet Good Samaritan’s specifications. By 2008, the shelter was fully operational, providing essential services to the community.
