Our Story

The Good Pennyworths, a vibrant vocal ensemble accompanied by lute, was founded in 1986 in New York City. This group passionately explores the rich interpretive possibilities of Renaissance music, captivating audiences with their unique blend of quartets, trios, duets, and solo performances. Over the past decade, they have toured extensively, showcasing their artistry and dramatic flair in various programs. Recently, Garald Farnham has taken his solo show, "Passing By: My Life as a Minstrel," on a successful tour across England.
