Our Story
The Good Counsel Learning Center, established in 1967 on Good Counsel Hill in Mankato, Minnesota, was born from a vision to enhance literacy across the nation. Founded by Sister Mary Donald Miller, the center has evolved to meet the educational needs of children and adults, particularly focusing on immigrant and refugee populations.
Impact
Over the past fifty years, the center has tutored more than 3,000 students, providing essential skills in reading, writing, and math. With a dedicated team of experienced teachers and community members, the center continues to make a significant difference in the lives of its students.
