Our Story

Founded in 1995 by Joan Murray, the Golden Gate Philharmonic (GGP) began as an after-school enrichment program aimed at providing music education to students with limited access to such opportunities. Located in the Bay Area, GGP enriches the lives of K-12 students through a performance-driven music education program that fosters teamwork, collaboration, and personal growth.

Impact

GGP has positively impacted over 2,000 students, helping them develop essential life skills such as leadership, commitment, and perseverance through music education. The program has enabled students to gain admission to top-tier academic institutions and has provided scholarships to ensure that no student is turned away due to financial constraints.
