Our Story
Since its inception in 1978, the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus has been a beacon of hope and resilience, inspiring an LGBT choral movement worldwide. Founded by Jon Reed Sims, the chorus began with 115 members singing on the steps of San Francisco City Hall, and has since grown to include over 2,000 singers. The mission is to enrich lives through music and activism, fostering a sense of community and acceptance.
