Golden Gate Basset Rescue (GGBR) is dedicated to rescuing Basset Hounds from abusive, abandoned, and unwanted situations across Northern California and the Reno, NV area. Operating without a physical shelter, GGBR relies on a network of compassionate volunteers who provide foster care in their homes. Each rescued hound receives essential veterinary care, including vaccinations, spaying, neutering, and preventive treatments. Our volunteers work diligently to evaluate the dogs, address behavioral issues, and restore their health through love and proper nutrition.
