Golden Apple Foundation of Rockford

Our Story

The Golden Apple Foundation of Rockford was established in 1997, evolving from a local initiative to honor teachers in one school district to a broader mission that recognizes educators across more than 150 schools in Winnebago and Boone counties. This volunteer-driven foundation aims to inspire, celebrate, and support educational excellence in the community.

Impact

Since its inception, the Golden Apple Foundation has awarded over $206,500 to 285 educators for 260 projects, enhancing educational opportunities for PreK-12 students. The foundation's initiatives have positively impacted student engagement, literacy, and STEM skills.
