Our Story

The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation was founded in 2004 in loving memory of Gloria Gemma, a devoted wife and mother of nine who lost her battle with cancer in 2002. Inspired by her strong family values and commitment to helping others, the Foundation has evolved from a simple resource website into a comprehensive organization offering over twenty holistic programs aimed at healing the mind, body, and spirit of those affected by cancer. In 2008, the Foundation opened its Resource and Wellness Center, led by Gloria’s eldest daughter, Maria Gemma-Corcelli, who has tirelessly worked to provide free, holistic support and services to cancer patients and their families.

Our Impact

The mission is to celebrate and nurture life in the local community before, during, and after a cancer diagnosis. By providing education, access to wellness resources, and support programs, the Foundation touches the lives of many in Rhode Island.
