Our Story
Global Village Ministries began with a vision to provide quality healthcare to underserved regions of the world. Initially, medical and dental volunteer teams participated in service mission trips to Asia and Africa. In 2006, efforts focused on the Masai Mara region of Kenya, where the dentist-to-population ratio exceeds 1:150,000, leaving many without access to dental care.
After fifteen years of dedicated service, Global Village Ministries established a safe home for girls threatened by Female Genital Mutilation and Child Marriage. In 2021, Dr. Robin Steely and his wife Adell opened a fully operational dental clinic to serve the region. However, the need for care remains immense, prompting the urgent requirement for more rural and mobile clinics.
Today, Global Village Ministries continues its mission in collaboration with Humans For Education, providing essential medical and dental care through rural and mobile clinics staffed by volunteer professionals. In 2023, a new operational dental clinic was established at the Lions Hospital, marking a significant milestone in improving healthcare access for this underprivileged region.
