About the Global Tracheostomy Collaborative
The Global Tracheostomy Collaborative (GTC) was established by Dr. David Roberson, an ENT specialist at Harvard, to address the high risks faced by tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients. In July 2012, specialists from various disciplines convened in Glasgow, Scotland, to lay the groundwork for this vital initiative. The collaborative officially launched in 2014, enrolling hospitals across the USA, UK, and Australasia, and has since grown to include approximately 40 hospitals worldwide.
