Founded to combat high mortality rates from treatable conditions, GEC focuses on training local healthcare workers, especially nurses, to become Emergency Care Practitioners (ECPs).

Since its inception, GEC-trained Emergency Care Practitioners have treated over 80,000 patients, significantly improving survival rates for conditions that require timely medical intervention.
