Our Story

Founded in 2003 by Judy Wheeler, The Global Child was inspired by the plight of Cambodian street-working children. After learning about their struggles from filmmaker Allan Scott-Moncrief, the organization opened its first school in Phnom Penh in 2004. Since then, efforts have expanded to Siem Reap, focusing on holistic development through education, life skills training, and community support.

Impact

With over 100 students educated and a 100% graduation rate to higher education or vocational training, The Global Child has served over 6,000 community members, significantly improving the lives of underprivileged children and their families in Cambodia.
