The Glendale Parks & Open Space Foundation was established in response to the challenges faced by cities after the 2008 financial crisis. Notably, following the 2009 Station Fire, GPOSF hosted 'Art From The Ashes', showcasing art created from the remnants of Deukmejian Wilderness Park.
