The Giving Doll

Our Story

The Giving Doll was founded in March 2006 by Jan Householder as a heartfelt community project. Inspired by a friend's daughter, Katherine, who was treated at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the initiative began with handmade cloth dolls crafted by dedicated volunteers. Katherine took the first dolls to the hospital, and as the need grew, the program expanded to support children in various settings worldwide.

Our Impact

Since its inception, 72,000 dolls have been lovingly made and distributed, providing comfort to children during their most challenging times.
