Founded in 2009 by Andre and Caleb, Give and Go Athletics emerged from the need for after-school programs in North Philadelphia. With extracurricular activities cut from the School District of Philadelphia’s budget, young students faced a lack of constructive outlets. This gap led to troubling behaviors among youth, prompting the creation of our first after-school program to provide a safe and engaging environment.
Give and Go Athletics offers trauma-informed mentoring, social-emotional learning, and mental health support to youth. By empowering families and enhancing community values, the organization fosters self-efficacy and educational growth.
