Girls Education Collaborative (GEC) emerged from a passionate group in Buffalo, NY, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of girls in Tanzania. Founded in 2012, GEC partners with local leaders to provide safe and quality education, striving for a world where every girl has the opportunity to learn and thrive.

With over $2 million secured in funding, GEC has successfully built the Kitenga Girls Secondary School, which currently serves 230 students and aims to expand to 350. The school has achieved remarkable success, ranking first in national exams and opening doors to higher education for its graduates.
