Our Story
Juliette Gordon Low had a dream. In March 1912, she gathered a group of girls in Savannah, Georgia, igniting a movement that would empower girls to explore new possibilities and the wonders of the world around them. These pioneering Girl Scouts played basketball, hiked, swam, and camped, learning valuable skills and fostering a sense of adventure. Today, the spirit of those first Girl Scouts lives on, as nearly 2 million girl members and over 50 million alums continue to make a difference in their communities.
