Our Story
Juliette Gordon Low had a dream. In March 1912, she gathered a group of girls in Savannah, Georgia, igniting a movement that would empower girls to explore the world together. Known affectionately as "Daisy," she inspired these first Girl Scouts to break barriers, play sports, and embrace adventure. Over a century later, the Girl Scouts Heart of the South continues this legacy, uniting nearly 2 million girl members and over 50 million alums in a shared commitment to making the world a better place.
