Our Story

Founded in 1997, Gilead House emerged from a heartfelt conversation between Michelle and the pastor of Bay Marin Community Church, recognizing the urgent need for support for homeless single mothers and their children. Inspired by a chance encounter with a homeless woman and her child, Gilead House began serving families in 1999, providing a safe haven and essential resources.

Impact

Over the years, Gilead House has positively impacted the lives of more than 100 women and children, offering transitional housing, education, and therapeutic support that fosters independence and a brighter future.
