Our Story

Founded in 1994 by Lynn Pryer, the Gilbert Theater has been a cornerstone of the Fayetteville arts community. Starting in a basement, it has evolved into a vibrant venue located in the Fascinate U Children’s Museum. The theater honors the Marquis de Lafayette and serves a diverse audience, including children, the elderly, and economically disadvantaged individuals. By showcasing both contemporary and classical works, the Gilbert Theater provides local and guest artists a platform to share their talents.
