Our Story

Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH (GHP FISH) began in 1976 when a compassionate mother recognized the unmet needs of her community. Inspired by the biblical FISH movement, GHP FISH was incorporated in 1985 and has since served the greater Gig Harbor, Fox Island, Key Peninsula, and parts of southernmost Kitsap County. This nonprofit organization embodies the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors, expanding its services to include food assistance, financial aid, and holiday programs, all powered by a dedicated team of volunteers.

Impact

In 2023, GHP FISH made a significant difference by assisting 16,263 individuals and delivering 138 food items, alongside providing $475,767 in financial aid.
