Our Story

Founded in 2017 by Anna Calix in memory of her son, Liam Angel, Gifts From Liam began with a simple mission: to provide diapers and essential supplies to babies in need. What started as a diaper giveaway quickly transformed into a larger initiative addressing diaper insecurity in underserved, majority-BIPOC communities in Chicago. In honor of Liam's first birthday, a diaper drive collected an astounding 20,000 diapers, setting the stage for a movement that has since distributed over 200,000 diapers and baby supplies.
