Our Story

Gift of Life International began its journey in 1975 when the first child, Grace Agwaru, traveled from Uganda to New York for heart surgery. Since then, GOLI has evolved into a vital nonprofit organization dedicated to treating children with congenital heart defects across the globe.

Impact

Over the past 45 years, GOLI has partnered with Rotarians, healthcare professionals, and volunteers to provide hope and lifesaving cardiac treatment to over 53,330 children from 80 countries. A child receives treatment every 99 minutes through our global network.
