Our Story

For over 15 years, Gideon’s Promise has been dedicated to transforming the criminal legal system. Founded by MacArthur ‘Genius’ Fellow Jonathan Rapping and educator Ilham Askia, this organization has trained and supported more than 1,500 public defenders across the United States.
