Our Story

Since 1920, the Portsmouth Women’s City Club has been a cornerstone for local women, fostering fellowship and community engagement. Nestled in a beautiful colonial home at 375 Middle Street, this inter-generational services and social club provides essential workforce housing with seven rooms available at below-market rates. As a proud member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, the club continues a long-standing tradition of advocating for women’s issues, including equality and support for single mothers. Through volunteer service, the Portsmouth Women’s City Club enriches the community and empowers its members.
