Our Story

The Gerald J. Ryan Outreach Center, founded in 1973, has been a beacon of hope for the Wyandanch community. Initially focused on feeding the hungry through street outreach and a food pantry, it was officially incorporated in 1992 to expand its services to those in need. Named after Bishop Gerald J. Ryan, whose dedication to service inspires the mission, the center continues to uplift lives.

Impact

Annually, the center provides emergency food assistance to approximately 15,000 individuals, making it one of Long Island's largest food pantries.
