Our Story
The Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights (GLAHR) was founded in 2001 by Adelina Nicholls and Theodoro Maus to educate, organize, and empower Latino immigrants in Georgia. Emerging from the Coordinating Council of Latino Community Members, GLAHR has built a robust grassroots network dedicated to advocating for the rights of undocumented immigrants.
Impact
GLAHR has effectively mobilized the Latino community to combat deportations and advocate for immigrant rights. Significant victories include the release of detained community members and the termination of the 287(g) program in Cobb and Gwinnett counties.
